CLOS DU VAL

CF Napa was tasked to consult on the brand’s tiering structure and then refresh the brand logo and packaging - returning the brand to its former status and appropriate pedigree. The new packaging would need to incorporate a more youthful freshness combined with a sophisticated French sensibility to honor the founding family's ties to Bordeaux. The Clos du Val wordmark was refined to be more readable, and their Three Graces icon was redrawn to be more representative of the sculpture on which it was based.

CENTENNIAL MOUNTAIN

Similarly to how Rhys Vineyards combined the Old World with the New World, we developed a custom illustration with an old world feel encapsulated in a graphic “C” monogram, providing a unique window view of the high-elevation vineyards of Centennial Mountain. The modern twist on traditional illustration creates a clean, contemporary feel to this iconic label.

BALDACCI FAMILY VINEYARDS

CF Napa redesigned the iconic Baldacci crest to maintain the original elements in a cleaner, more modern expression. The established date was added to the crest to reinforce the winery’s longtime influence in the Napa Valley. A new packaging system was created for the main portfolio and Cabernet tiers to more clearly evoke the AVA and estate grown status. As the wines ladder up in tier, the front label becomes more simplistic and the Baldacci crest takes center stage.

TOMORROW CELLARS

CF Napa developed a cheerful, modern wordmark featuring the phases of a sunrise, creating a pictograph that cleverly conveys the meaning and purpose behind the brand name—a non-alcoholic wine for when you want a brighter tomorrow. The suns are stamped in gold foil, adding a traditional wine quality cue. A classic type stack was utilized to play off consumers’ familiarity with wine packaging and establish Tomorrow Cellars as an offering for the wine enthusiast.

Every day we make countless decisions based on the sensory information available to us, and many of these decisions are subconscious. In the aisles of stores or online, when we are not afforded all our senses, we often must make choices based solely on the appearance of a product.

We drink with our eyes.

This is our foundational belief at CF Napa Brand Design. Visuals profoundly impact consumer decision-making. When done strategically and perfectly matched to the consumer and the brand promise, the look and feel of the packaging captivates the consumer in three ways:

  1.  Encourages trial of your brand over others in the marketplace.

  2.  Reinforces quality of your product while they are enjoying it. Consumer testing verifies the power of packaging. A consumer may like or dislike an alcohol beverage when the only difference is the packaging; falling in love with the product when it is poured from a package they like and disliking the same exact product when in a package they don’t like.
